Sandy is the Sultan of Sanquhar, and his sultanate are the beneficiaries of his wisdom and expertise.
He is also a consultant Sultan; the first entrepeneurial sultan in Sanquhar and his sultana business is solvent and thriving in the sleepy little south west town of Scotland.  But Sultans and spelling are not good bedfellows as Bimsley Wurstoff, (guesting on lead vocals), makes reference to in the first line:
"I'm Sandy, the Sultan of Sanquhar, spelt SEN-Q-H-AR"
Never mind, the sultanate of Sanquhar love Sandy all the same...
